The Central Government has notified the appointment of seven judicial officers as judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court..While four of them have been appointed as permanent judges, three have been appointed additional judges for a period of two years. A notification to that effect was published on the website of the Department of Law and Justice on Monday.The four judicial officers appointed as permanent judges are:- Adusumalli Venkata Ravindra Babu;- Dr Vakkalagadda Radha Krishna Krupa Sagar;- Syamsunder Bandaru; and- Srinivas Vutukuru..The three judicial officers appointed as additional judges are:- Boppana Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Chakravarthi;- Tallapragada Mallikarjuna Rao; and- Duppala Venkata Ramana..The seven names were recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on July 20, 2022.As on August 1, 2022, the Andhra Pradesh High Court is working with 24 judges against a sanctioned strength of 37 judges, with a vacancy of 13 judges..[Read Notification]
