Sudha Bharadwaj moves Bombay High Court for default bail

The matter came up for hearing before a single-judge which proceeded to place it before a Division Bench since the case is being investigated by NIA and NIA Act requires appeals to be heard by Division Bench.

Sudha Bharadwaj, accused in the Bhima Koregaon violence of 2018, has moved the Bombay High Court seeking bail under Section 167(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) on the ground that upon expiry of 90 days of detention, there was no valid or lawful order extending time for the filing of the chargesheet.
