The Bar Council of Delhi has increased the fees payable by lawyers at the time of enrolment, with effect from January 1, 2021..As per a Notice issued by Bar Council of Delhi, a candidate, who is applying immediately after his/her LL.B course, shall now have to pay a total of Rs. 14,300 at the time of enrolment with the Council..This amount includes fees for enrolment, identity card, building fund, library fund, indigent fund, welfare fund, advocates welfare fund..The amount payable towards enrolment fees and identity card is Rs. 600 and Rs. 100 respectively.The amount payable towards building fund, library fund and indigent fund is Rs. 4,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,900, respectively.Rs. 3,000 is the contribution towards welfare fund under Rule 40 of the BCI Rules. Rs. 700 is the contribution towards the Bar Council of Delhi’s welfare fund for advocates..A candidate who is applying five years of passing LL.B, has to pay a total of Rs. 20,000 at the time of his/her enrolment on account of the increase in payble amount for various heads. .For retired persons, the total amount payable to Bar Council of Delhi is Rs. 35,000..Enrolment by circulation fee has been increased from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000..There is no increase in the cost of enrolment form which is available at Rs. 1,000..[Read Notice]
