Supreme Court directions fell on deaf ears of Maharashtra government: Arnab Goswami assails chargesheet in abetment to suicide case

Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV, Arnab Goswami, has filed another interim application before Bombay High Court, seeking directions to be issued to the Chief Judicial Magistrate at Alibaug to not take cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the Raigad Police in the case of abetment to suicide of interior designer, Anvay Naik and his mother Kumud Naik..Goswami has also prayed for a stay on all further proceedings including the investigation in relation to the chargesheet filed..The application has been filed in a pending plea filed by Goswami seeking quashing of the First Information Report (FIR) against him in the case. He also prayed for an early listing of the plea and the interim applications filed in it..Goswami had recently filed an application seeking a stay on the filing of the chargesheet by the Raigad Police and stay on further probe. His lawyers, Phoenix Legal, had sought for urgent hearing of the matter on December 3.
