The Supreme Court today asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), whether spectrum can be sold by telecom companies that are undergoing proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).

This question came up for consideration when the Supreme Court was hearing the matter pertaining to payment of Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues by telecom companies.
