4G internet in J&K: Supreme Court asks Centre if any part of Jammu & Kashmir can get 4G Internet, Govt to respond by August 11

The Supreme Court today, while hearing a contempt petition against the Jammu and Kashmir administration, sought to know from the Solicitor General Tushar Mehta if fast speed internet service can be restored in any part of Jammu and Kashmir. .The internet speed in many parts of the region stand restricted at 2G speed as on date.Solicitor General Tushar Mehta who represented the Centre today told the Court that he would have to seek instructions as regards the question of possibility of restoration of 4G internet in the region.
