Lawyers march to protest against CAA, NRC, NPR and police repression

A group of lawyers, including prominent lawyers of the Supreme Court, conducted a march to Jantar Mantar on Tuesday to register protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 as well as the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR).

The march, conducted under a banner titled “Lawyers for Democracy”, was also aimed to register protest against police repression and the “assault of the Constitution”.

Among the lawyers who participated in the march were Senior Advocates Raju Ramachandran, Ashwani Kumar, Salman Khursheed and Sanjay Hegde.
