Lawyer moves Kerala High Court against order allowing minor girl to terminate pregnancy

The plea contended that a baby in the womb is a "gift from the almighty" which cannot be killed by a judicial order so as to save the family of the victim girl from social and mental stigma.

A lawyer has moved the Kerala High Court to set aside a recent order of a single-judge that had granted permission to a 15-year-old girl impregnated by her brother to terminate her 7-month pregnancy [Kulathoor Jaisingh v xxx & Ors.].
