Professor Faizan Mustafa has been appointed the Vice Chancellor of the Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna..Speaking on the appointment, which was made on Tuesday, Professor SP Singh, Social Sciences Dean and Facilitator of the CNLU Search Committee shared,"The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Search Committee headed by former Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra.".Professor Mustafa pursued his education at the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He earned his B.A. (Hons) in History in 1984, followed by his LLB in 1987. He earned his LLM in Criminal law in 1989. He later went on to complete his Ph.D. in 1996 from the same university..Prior to being appointed as Vice Chancellor at CNLU, Professor Mustafa was the Dean and Registrar at Aligarh Muslim University. .He had previously been the Vice Chancellor of the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad for over a decade. Prior to this, he was the founding Vice Chancellor of NLU, Odisha.
