Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) UU Lalit has accepted an invite to join West Bengal National University of Juridical Science (NUJS), Kolkata as a Distinguished Visiting Professor. .The former CJI had recently told in an interview that he wouldn't be averse to taking up government appointments like National Human Rights Commission Chief, Lokpal, or Law Commission Chief, after retiring as the CJI.Pertinently, he had also expressed his proclivity to teach law."I would love to do some law teaching at various levels. Maybe the National Judicial Academy as a resource person. Go to some of the law schools as visiting Professor," he had stated. .During his tenure as CJI, Justice UU Lalit was also the Chancellor of the NUJS.
