Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today commented that while all social media companies are welcome in India, they must ensure compliance with Indian laws and also refrain from adopting double standards.

Prasad made the comment at a press conference held to announce the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, which would be applicable to social media companies, over-the-top (OTT) platforms and digital content platforms.
