Both Mrinal and Trinath have joined the Delhi office with effect from May 1, 2012..Mrinal (pictured left) and Trinath (pictured right) have extensive experience in commercial dispute resolution in the areas of insurance, reinsurance, debt recoveries, and liability..Mrinal, a graduate of Campus Law Centre, started his career as a Research Associate withthe Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative. In 2004, he moved to Tuli & Co and worked there for two years after which he moved to Trilegal. After working with Trilegal for about three years, Mrinal moved back to Tuli & Co joining them as a Partner..Trinath is a graduate of NALSAR and started his career with Tuli & Co. He worked with Tuli for almost eight years before joining KS Partners..Speaking to Bar & Bench Trinath said, “Both Mrinal and I decided to move together to join the existing team at KS Partners. Our focus at KS Partners will be dispute resolution with specific focus on insurance and reinsurance disputes. We will further expand the firm’s existing insurance practice”..Talking on the decision to move Trinath said, “We thought, professionally, it was the right move for both of us as a team. With the kind of knowledge and the background that they both have, they are a perfect fit”..Talking about the decision to expand the insurance practice of the firm Khaitan said, “The insurance industry has been growing quite fast but correspondingly on the legal services end, there are not too many firms providing specialized legal services in this area. After a lot of consideration, we identified this as a good practice area and decided to expand in this area. We have been planning this over a period of time”..Khaitan further said, “We have an ongoing best friends relationship with DAC Beachcroft and we are looking to enter the insurance sector in a big way”..KS Partners has also opened an office in Bangalore. The Bangalore office will be headed by a senior lawyer Rukmani Menon. Rukmani has over 20 years experience as a litigating lawyer. At present, there are six lawyers in Bangalore office. The Bangalore office is located in Prestige Centre on Cunningham Road..Talking about the future plans Khaitan said, “We are in talks with a senior person in the insurance sector to join our office. We are also planning to increase our bench strength by eight lawyers”..With Mrinal, Trinath and Rukmani joining the firm, the total number of partners at the firm is now 11.
