A Magistrate court in Ernakulam on Wednesday remanded the three prime accused in the human sacrifice case to judicial custody for 14 days. .The three accused are Muhammed Shafi (alias Rashid), Bhagaval Singh, and Laila Bhagawal Singh.The news of human sacrifice came to light in the State when the dismembered bodies of two women were recovered on Tuesday from Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district.It was an investigation into two missing women that led State police to a human sacrifice ring.The two women were lottery ticket sellers in Ernakulam and they went missing in June and September this year. Neither women had families in Kerala.Three persons were apprehended yesterday for the alleged murder of the women, believed to have been committed as part of an act of human sacrifice.The police arrested one Rashid for allegedly for arranging the abduction and committing the sacrificial murder. The other accused, married couple Bhagaval Singh and Laila, were also taken into custody for suspicion of having commissioned and taken part in the sacrificial murder..Advocate BA Aloor represented the accused.
