Kerala High Court quashes POCSO rape case on noting that survivor married accused, did not wish to continue case

The Court noted that the accused person and the survivor had married after she crossed the age of majority. The Court found that they were living together as husband and wife with the child conceived out of the incident.

The Kerala High Court recently quashed a rape case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) against a man on finding that the survivor had since married him and did not wish to continue prosecuting the case against the accused.
