Kerala High Court warns of strict action if police do not pass on timely instructions to prosecutors in cases
Justice PV Kunhikrishnan observed that in almost all cases, even though the High Court had directed the Public Prosecutor to get instructions from the concerned police station, such instructions were not forthcoming.
The Kerala High Court recently pulled up police officials for delays in submitting reports to public prosecutors in cases before the High Court, despite orders being passed to get such instructions [Rajesh R v State of Kerala & Ors.].
