The Kerala High Court has revised the dress code for women judicial officers in the State..In addition to the saree and blouse that was mandated until now, judicial officers will have the option of wearing salwar kameez or blouse/shirt with full length trousers/skirts.The clothing will still have to be black and white, as well as "modest and simple and befitting the dignity of a judicial officer"..The circular issued by the High Court in this regard on October 7 stated that the change in the dress code guidelines was made in order to reduce the hardships caused to women judicial officers due to the changing climate and infrastructural deficiencies in courts.The following are the particulars of the clothes that can be donned by lady judicial officers now:White colour saree with black collar blouse with full/half sleeves and stiff/soft bands and collars with black gown as requires, as worn at present.
