Advocate Dhanesh Mathew Manjooran, who is a government pleader for the State of Kerala, has been arrested for allegedly attempt to molest a woman, reports The News Minute..Manjooran, who practices in Kerala High Court and is a member of the Kerala High Court Advocates Association, was arrested on Thursday after the woman raised an alarm after Manjooran allegedly tried to molest her on public road..Meanwhile, the Kerala High Court Advocates Association has written to the Advocate General of the State condemning the way in which the police has handled the issue. The letter states that Manjooran was “framed and arrested” by the police and “the way in which the police published the news and framed the lawyer” are against the guidelines laid down by the Supreme Court..The letter states that,.“An unbecoming and unfortunate incident happened yesterday wherein one of our members, and the present Government Pleader Dhanesh Mathew Manjooran, was framed and arrested by the police and taken into custody at the Central Police Station, Ernakulam. The issues was noticed by the members of the Association and public at large, by the frequent flash news that appeared in several news channels…The way in which police published the news and framed the lawyer is totally against the guidelines of Supreme Court of India in its various rulings..…the mode and approach of the police in violating the rulings and flashing the news which has unnecessarily tarnished the image of lawyer fraternity at large and the unnecessary comments prefixed along with the name of the lawyer is improper and needs to be condemned”.The letter ends with a request to “take necessary action against erring police officials against the high handed act”..Read the letter written by KHCAA below.
