Karnataka High Court stays FIR against BJP MLA Bharath Shetty in hate speech case

As per the complaint, while speaking at a protest organised by the BJP, Shetty had allegedly said that Rahul Gandhi should be slapped for making a statement against Hindus in the Lok Sabha.

The Karnataka High Court Friday stayed the First Information Report (FIR) registered against Y Bharath Shetty, the BJP MLA from Mangaluru North, for his alleged provocative speech against Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
