Supreme Court judge Justice S Abdul Nazeer always stood for what was right and was not one to remain neutral when faced with right and wrong, Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud said on Wednesday..The CJI recalled how he had shared the bench with Justice Nazeer and worked with him during the Ayodhya case. "Justice Nazeer was not the one who would be neutral between right and wrong but he stood for what is right. We shared the Ayodhya Bench and we worked together and delivered a decision together," the CJI said.Justice Nazeer is demitting office today and was sitting with the CJI as part of the ceremonial bench on his last working day."I have a sense of sadness that we will continue to be friends but I will not share the bench with him again now (with Justice Nazeer)," the CJI remarked..Justice PS Narasimha, who was also part of the ceremonial bench, recounted his days as a Senior Counsel when he used to argue before Justice Nazeer."I very fondly recollect my appearances before Justice Nazeer. It was a pleasure to appear before him.
