Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar takes oath as Chief Justice of Kerala High Court

Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar was sworn as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court on Thursday.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan administered the oath of office to Justice Jamdar at the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also attended the ceremony.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice Jamdar and 7 others judges as Chief Justices of eight High Courts on July 11.

The Central government cleared his appointment on September 21.

Justice Jamdar’s judicial career began with his appointment as a judge of the Bombay High Court on January 23, 2012.

He is known for his expertise in administrative and constitutional law. Additionally, he has contributed significantly to modernizing the judiciary by spearheading the digitization efforts at the Bombay High Court.
