The President of India has given his assent to transfer Justice Hrishikesh Roy from Gauhati High Court to Kerala High Court..After consultation with the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, President Ram Nath Kovind has signed off on the transfer notification exercising the power conferred upon him under Article 222 of the Constitution of India..Justice Roy’s name was recommended by the Collegium for transfer from Gauhati High Court to Kerala High Court in January this year..Justice Roy’s parent High Court is Gauhati and he was the senior most Puisne Judge of the Gauhati High Court and was also the Judge-in-Charge of the Administrative Department (JAD)..Justice Roy has to assume his position as a judge of the Kerala High Court by June 11..Read Notification:
