He practiced as an advocate from November 1, 1984 in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh and other Courts in Shimla.He was appointed Additional District and Sessions Judge, on January 10, 2003 and served in district judiciary before being appointed Registrar (Judicial) in the Himachal Pradesh High Court. He subsequently became the Registrar General of the High Court before being elevated as additional judge of the High Court on April 12, 2016.He was made a permanent judge in January 2018. .[Read Notification]
