In the wake of the murder of an advocate, Manoj Kumar Jha and the fatal "road accident" of Judge Uttam Anand (ADJ, Dhanbad), the Jharkhand State Bar Council has resolved to abstain from judicial work on July 30 to show solidarity..The Bar Council has also demanded that an expeditious investigation be conducted into the "road accident" that killed Judge Uttam Anand..On July 28, an emergency meeting was held by the Jharkhand State Bar Council, wherein serious concern was raised over the deteriorating law and order situation. ."The Council unanimously condemned the murder and expressed serious concern at the deteriorating law and order situation.
