Jethmalani writes to PM Narendra Modi; Rohatgi’s appointment as AG put on hold

The post of Attorney General of India (AG) continues to remain vacant as Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi’s appointment to the post remains uncertain. According to Indian Express, a strongly worded letter by Senior Advocate and former Law Minister Ram Jethmalani to Prime Minister Narendra Modi opposing Rohatgi’s appointment is one of the reasons for putting on hold the appointment which was earlier confirmed by Rohatgi himself.
