Jammu & Kashmir High Court orders protection to woman, husband after she alleges death threats by relatives for embracing Islam, marrying Muslim

The Court directed Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir through Director General of Police J&K to ensure that the petitioners are not harassed, kidnapped, attacked or caused any harm by relatives of woman or by anyone.

The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Thursday ordered that a woman and her husband be given adequate protection, after she alleged that they were receiving death threats from her family members for embracing Islam and marrying a Muslim (Khadeeja and Anr. V/s Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ors.).
