Gujarat High Court directs NCLT Ahmedabad to permit use of electronic devices during proceedings

The Court said that NCLT cannot impose an absolute restriction on electronic devices but it can put reasonable restrictions so as to ensure that proceedings in the tribunal are not disturbed by the use of such devices.

The Gujarat High Court on Tuesday passed an interim order directing the Ahmedabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to permit use of electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets and notebooks during hearings and proceedings [Nipun Praveen Singhvi v National Company Law Tribunal].
