Former Odisha AG granted bail by Sessions Judge; High Court Bar Association likely to resume work

A District and Sessions judge granted bail to the former Advocate General of Odisha, Ashok Mohanty, today. The bail order comes after several days of controversy, with the arrest prompting the Orissa High Court Bar Association to issue a “cease work” notice. Lawyers in the High Court have been abstaining from court proceedings for the last two days now and are expected to resume work from tomorrow.
