A fire reportedly broke out at the Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court yesterday..The incident took place between 5.45 and 6 pm yesterday. It is reported that the fire started near the stairs of the north block of the High Court building before it spread to the first floor..Court officials have been cited as saying that only certain furniture has been damaged before the fire was put out within minutes..The cause of the fire appears to be a short circuit, however the same is yet to be confirmed. The power supply to the building was cut off as a precautionary measure.
