[Exclusive]: Tatva’s Shishir Sharma+team of 6 to rejoin Dua Associates

Senior Partner and one of the founding partners of Tatva Legal, Shishir Sharma, (pictured right) will rejoin Dua Associates along with a team of six lawyers, seven years after leaving the firm..While Sharma is joining as Equity Partner, Seher Ali and Natasha Tuli are joining the firm as Partners and will be based in the firm’s Gurgaon office. The team will join the firm on September 1..Sharma, along with nine partners and 60 associates, had exited from Dua Associates in January 2010 to form Tatva Legal..Confirming the news to Bar & Bench, Dua Managing Partner Ranji Dua (Pictured left) said:.“You may recollect that in January 2010 Shishir Sharma had spearheaded an exit from Dua Associates as the Managing Partner of the then newly formed Tatva Legal practice. Seven years hence he has communicated his desire to revert to Duas. After discussions over the last few months. I am happy to welcome him and his team back into the Dua fold effective 1st September, 2017 to be based in our firm’s Gurgaon office. Accompanying him will be two non-equity partners namely Ms. Seher Ali and Ms. Natasha Tuli and four professionals. The New Delhi office, led by Avinash Mody, will continue to service clients in this region.”.Sharma had started his career with Bhasin & Co in 1990, after which he moved to Dua Associates in 1995. He left Dua in 2002 to work at DSK Legal for a year and rejoined the firm in 2004. He was heading Dua’s Corporate M&A practice till 2009, when he left with five other partners to set up Tatva..Seher Ali joined Dua Associates in 2007 and in 2009 she moved out along with Shishir Sharma and others..Natasha is a graduate of Amity Law School and also holds an LL.M. from University College, London. She joined Tatva in 2011..This is not first time that a partner has rejoined Dua Associates. Before this, Himanshu Narain from Amarchand Mangaldas and Munish Sharma from Link Legal had rejoined the firm..In an earlier interview with Bar & Bench, Ranji Dua had said,.“Many of our former partners have come back.
