He said,.“I have been wanting to do this for the last two – three years, I think this is the right time now.”.Commenting on his decision to leave the firm to set up counsel practice, Singh said,.“The primary objective of setting up counsel practice is ultimately to get briefings from other firms and friends who are in different firms who could not brief me earlier due to a conflict issue, considering I was a Partner at a competing law firm. I am hoping that this is one window that is going to open.”.Singh has been practicing largely on the commercial side of litigation, primarily focusing on tax and competition work. His main objective is to continue working in his areas of expertise..Singh also wants to organise and streamline his counsel practice. He said,.“I think I will be able to create a space for myself although there are already very bright people in this space.
