Don't wait for 24 hours to start probe into missing children complaints: Delhi High Court to Police

The High Court said that the first 24 hours is the critical period when steps for tracing of the missing person or child could lead to positive outcome.

The Delhi High Court recently ordered the Delhi Police to ensure that investigation into cases of missing children is commenced as soon as the complaint is received and the police should not wait for 24 hours [Vinod v State NCT of Delhi].
