The Delhi High Court Bar Associaton has written to the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Justice DN Patel for issuance of necessary directions to allow advocates living in areas outside the city to cross Delhi border..In its letter addressed to the Chief Justice, DHCBA has stated that a large number of advocates practicing in Delhi reside in areas outside the city borders in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad etc. .It is DHCBA's concern that such advocates now have no access to their files, records etc as they are lying in their offices situated in Delhi..It is added that even the books and commentaries that are required to effectively participate in video-conferencing hearings are not available at the disposal of the advocates at their residences. .DHCBA has thus requested, .To assist the Hon'ble Court in the hearings being held during the lockdown period and to enable the litigant public to completely access justice, it is imperitive that such Advocates are permitted free movement in to and out of Delhi upon production of valid identity cards issued by any Court annexed Bar Assocuation of Delhithe Bar Council with which the Advocates are enrolled.DHCBA.It is pointed out that similar facility has been granted to Delhi police personnel. .DHCBA has requested that the Delhi Police may also be requested to take up the matter with their counter-parts in States of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. .Read the Letter:
