The Central government has cleared the appointment of two lawyers, Amit Sharma and Anish Dayal as Delhi High Court judges. .While Sharma has been cleared for appointment as additional judge for a period of two years, Dayal has been appointed permanent judge. Both Sharma and Dayal were recommended for judgeship nearly two years ago in August 2020 along with four other lawyers. Two of the four - Justices Jasmeet Singh and Amit Bansal - were appointed in February 2021 while another two - Justices Tara Vitasta Ganju and Mini Pushkarna - had taken oath earlier this month.
