Delhi High Court Bar Association calls for strike in protest of attacks on Uppal, Pahwa

The Delhi High Court Bar Association has called for complete abstention from work on Thursday, January 25, to protest against attacks on Senior Advocates Kirti Uppal and Vikas Pahwa..Kirti Uppal, who is President of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, was attacked on January 9 while Vikas Pahwa, senior member of the executive committee was attacked on January 22..The decision to abstain from work was taken in an emergent meeting of the executive committee convened today..It is stated that the two attacks were pre-mediated and deliberate acts of conspiracy, as both the counsel are appearing for a colleague at the High Court. It is also stated that in both the cases, the modus operandi of the attack was the same i.e. use of a highly inflammable substance..Here are pictures of Mr. Uppal’s car:.FIRs in both incidents have been registered.
