Delhi HC stays order bringing AG’s office under RTI; Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar appears before Division Bench

A judgment that was heralded as a step forward towards increased judicial transparency and accountability, has hit the expected bump in its stride. A recent order passed by a single judge Bench of the Delhi High Court that brought the office of the Attorney General under the scope of Right to Information Act 2005, was challenged today before a Division Bench headed by Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice RS Endlaw.
