A Delhi court on Friday allowed an application moved by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to question Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. .Special Judge (PC Act) Kaveri Baweja of the Rouse Avenue Courts allowed CBI's plea to question Kavitha in judicial custody.“I have considered the submissions made and in view thereof, the application is allowed," the Court said..CBI moved the Court stating that Kavitha is required to be examined in connection with the evidence which has surfaced during further investigation of the case in respect of her involvement in the matter.The probe agency said that it wants to question Kavitha regarding chats recovered from Buchi Babu's (accountant associated to Kavitha) phone and documents related to a land deal post which ₹100 crore bribes were allegedly paid to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in kickbacks. .Kavitha was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) which is probing the money laundering angle in the Delhi excise policy case. The BRS leader is currently in judicial custody. The Court had reserved its verdict on Kavitha's interim bail plea in the ED case and the order in that matter is slated to be pronounced on April 8.
