Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on Wednesday summoned former Union Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and his sons Tejaswi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav in land for job scam case..The Court directed them to appear before it on October 7.Judge Vishal Gogne passed the order after noting that Yadav had prima facie been in a position of power to facilitate public employment when he was the minister."There is sufficient material to gather use of proceeds of crime," the Court noted..Besides Lalu and his son Tejaswi Yadav, the Court also summoned Lalu's eldest son Tej Pratap Yadav though he has not yet been named an accused in the case."Possibility of Tej Pratap Yadav (being an accused) cannot be ruled out." .The case pertains to alleged appointments made in the Railways in exchange for land transferred to Lalu Prasad's family when he was the Union Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009.The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has claimed that the appointments made in the railways were not in consonance with the standards and guidelines established by the Indian Railways for hiring..The Delhi court had granted bail to Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and daughter Misa Bharti in the case in March 2023.
