Default in completing payment for property purchase not financial debt under IBC: NCLAT

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has ruled that a default in completing the payment of sale consideration for the purchase of immovable property would not constitute a financial debt under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) [Sandeep Mittal v.ASREC and Ors].
