Four NLSIU graduates are all set to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas new team. Gokul Rajan, Nikhil Naredi, Uday Khare, and Spandan Biswal will raise the lateral hires by Cyril Shroff to eleven..The others are Harry Chawla and Niti Paul from Kochhar & Co, Harsh Kumar from Khaitan, Raghuram Raju, Luthra & Luthra Delhi Banking & Finance Patner Piyush Mishra, Khaitan & Co Delhi Litigation Partner Gauri Rasgotra and ELP Litigation Partner Kirat Nagra..As per our sources, Gokul and Nikhil will be joining as Partners, while Uday and Spandan will join as Principal Associates..Interestingly, it is a home coming of sorts for Nikhil Naredi, Uday Khare, and Spandan Biswal; all three had started their careers at Amarchand Mangaldas..Gokul Rajan, who graduated in 2003, started his career with BMR Legal after which he joined S&R Associates in 2007. In 2011, he moved to Singapore and joined Linklaters. He worked with Linklaters till 2014 after which he moved back to India. At present he is working as a Consultant with Citi, a term which ends in May. He specializes in Capital markets, M&A, private equity and cross-border transactions..Nikhil joined Amarchand Mangaldas after graduating in 2004. In 2009, he moved to Jones Day, where he has been majorly focusing on capital markets practice..Uday graduated in 2006 and initially worked at Amarchand Mangaldas after which went to the US for his Masters and later returned to join IFC..Spandan too started his career at Amarchand Mangaldas in 2007. In 2011, he moved to Luthra & Luthra and later joined Krishnamurthy & Co..Both Uday and Spandan were part of the project finance team at Amarchand Mangaldas, and worked with Partner L Vishwanathan..As reported by Bar & Bench yesterday, Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A Shroffis likely be dissolved today followed by the emergence of two, new partnerships – Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas on Akshay Trithiya (Tuesday), which is considered an auspicious day.
