The Supreme Court today refused to entertain a public interest litigation (PIL) petition seeking the creation of All India Judicial Services for recruitment of judges..The PIL filed by NGO Lok Prahari came up for admission before a Bench of Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and KM Joseph..“Creation of All India Judicial Services is not something that can be done by way of a judicial order”, remarked CJI Gogoi..“Your Lordships may please give me a few minutes”, the petitioner requested..“We will give you hours if we feel that the matter has merits”, said CJI Gogoi and proceeded to dismiss the case..The request made by the petitioner to withdraw the petition was also turned down by the Bench..Read the order below.
