Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) Competition Partner Aparna Mehra has resigned from the firm and will be joining Trilegal.
It is understood that the Trilegal partnership is voting on Mehra's induction to the firm.
Update: The Trilegal partnership has voted to invite Aparna Mehra to join its Competition Practice at the firm’s New Delhi office.

Mehra is a seasoned competition lawyer and merger control specialist with more than 18 years of experience.
She has been involved in landmark deals before the Competition Commission of India (CCI) including remedy cases involving Sony/Zee, ZF/WABCO, ChrysCapital/Intas and Bayer/Monsanto. She has also been involved in ChrysCapital and EQT’s buyout of HDFC Credila, PayU’s acquisition of BillDesk and Advent’s acquisition of Suven. She recently advised on HPE’s $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks Inc.
Mehra joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in June 2014 and was promoted to partnership in the Competition Law Practice in June 2015. Before SAM, she worked at AZB & Partners for over eight years.
She graduated from ILS Law College, Pune in 2004 and also holds an LL.M. from the University of Liverpool specialising in Business and Competition Laws.

Trilegal recently hired another SAM Competition Partner Gauri Chhabra with her team of seven lawyers.
These developments come after Trilegal Partner and Competition Law Head Nisha Kaur Uberoi left the firm along with her team to join JSA.
