ELP makes two Equity Partners - Ashish Prasad and Kumar Visalaksh

Economic Laws Practice has announced the promotion of two of its partners, Kumar Visalaksh and Ashish Prasad into the equity partnership of the firm - taking the total up to twelve..Kumar is a 2006 NALSAR (Hyderabad) alumnus and is ELP’s first home-grown equity partner..He joined ELP at their Mumbai office in 2006 as part of the Tax practice, but later moved to Delhi in 2009 to build the practice there. He handles some of the most significant issues and disputes in the Tax space, involving advisory and litigation and serves a set of top-tier clientele at the firm . .Prasad joined ELP in May 2015 and has been involved in complex disputes across several tribunals and courts. .A 2003 graduate from the Campus Law Center – Delhi University, Prasad has handled some key issues in sectors including mining, pharmaceuticals, food & drug, telecom and electricity. .Commenting on the promotions, Suhail Nathani, Managing Partner, Economic Laws Practice, said:“Going back to ELP’s original vision - in 2001 we set out to create a platform for like-minded professionals to come together & grow through outstanding client service.
