Contempt notices issued to AAB officials Bar Council demands Chief Justice step down

After the Chief Justice of Karnataka, P.D. Dinakaran was verbally abused and later jostled by members of the Bar, the High Court has slapped contempt notices against office bearers of the Advocates Association of Bangalore. The Bar Council of Karnataka, along with senior members of the Bar, including Advocate General Ashok Haranahalli have rallied behind the AAB, demanding that the contempt notices be withdrawn. They have also demanded that the Chief Justice step down on or before November 16.
