Condom on Trishul poem controversy: Calcutta High Court directs DCP to submit report

The Court directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Detective Department to file a comprehensive report about the probe into the case which was registered for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindu community.

The Calcutta High Court last week directed the West Bengal Police to comprehensive probe report on the investigation into the controversy surrounding Bengali poet Srijato Bandopadhyay's poem, which allegedly said that a 'condom should be put on a Trishul (trident)' [Biplab Kumar Chowdhury vs State of West Bengal and ors].
