The Kalaburagi Bench of the Karnataka High Court recently confirmed the conviction of a Commercial Tax Officer under the Prevention of Corruption Act (PC Act), for demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹5 lakh[Padmanabha v. State of Karnataka].
