The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Justice Ranjit V More from the Bombay High Court to the Meghalaya High Court.A statement intimating the same was issued following a Collegium meeting held on February 12. .Following the recent resignation of Justice SC Dharmadhikari, Justice More would be the third senior most judge of the Bombay High Court. .Born in 1959, Justice More went on to obtain his LLB degree from the Shivaji University, following which he pursued his LLM in Mumbai University. .He enrolled as an advocate in September 1983, and joined the chambers of AP Shah, who went on to become the Chief Justice of the High Courts of Madras and Delhi (now retired). Justice More's areas of practice covered civil, criminal and Constitutional matters. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court in September 2006. .[Read the Statement]
