CJI DY Chandrachud to launch digital court for cheque bounce cases, e-Court initiatives in Kerala

Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud is slated to inaugurate India's first digital court for handling cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act on August 16, Friday..The launch of the digital court, which will handle cheque bounce cases from Kollam, will be held at the Kerala High Court on Friday evening. The event will also see the launch of several other key initiatives that aim to harness technology for the enhancement of judicial efficiency.The other initiatives to be launched by the CJI at the event include:1. An Online Dispute Resolution System, named "We-Solv Vimaal Solution Maker," developed by the Kerala Judiciary. This platform is designed to facilitate online deliberations among stakeholders, streamline the dispute resolution process, and enhance efficiency, accessibility, and transparency in dispute resolution.2. A Model Digital Court Room developed by the Kerala High Court, to overcome the limitations of traditional courtrooms by optimizing internet and computer technology.3.
