Recently appointed Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court Justice Krishna Murari has launched an Android application, among other IT initiatives, for the High Court..For the benefit of lawyers and litigants at the High Court, Justice Murari launched a number of initiatives including e-Payment of High Court Services, Android based Mobile Application, Online Grievance & Feedback System, Surety Information Management System, Infrastructure Web Application, Crystal Reports Software and eNotices..The above mentioned initiatives were developed under the guidance of Justice Rajesh Bindal, Chairman of the Computer Committee of the High Court..An interactive session was held with all the District and Sessions Judges from the Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh at Chandigarh Judicial Academy wherein issues pertaining to pendency of cases, ways and means for early disposal of cases, prioritizing disposal of cases relating to crime against women and children, cases under NDPS Act etc. were discussed..A host of High Court judges including Justice Rajesh Bindal, Justice PB Bajanthri, Justice Rajbir Sehrawat, Justice Mahabir Singh Sindhu, and Justice Sudhir Mittal, were present at the event. Also present were the Advocates General from the States of Punjab and Haryana, and office bearers of the bar associations of the states..The Android app, which will enhance the tracking of cases, can be downloaded from Google Play Store..A payment gateway was launched for online transfer of money, wherever money is required to be deposited in Court for any services, through Multi Option Payment System (MOPS)..A Surety Information Management System has been developed, which will check fake sureties and track persons who are repeatedly furnishing sureties in different cases..Through the Infrastructure Web Application, status of Judicial Court Complexes and Residential Houses and their progress can be monitored.
