Changes in Infy and Cipla: Ex-IBM GC Gopi Krishnan as Infy’s Deputy GC; Infy’s Gautam Rohidekar joins Cipla

Gautam Rohidekar, former VP and Deputy Head of Legal at Infosys, has recently joined Cipla as Chief Legal Officer, while former IBM General Counsel Gopi Krishnan has joined as Deputy General Counsel at Infosys, replacing Rohidekar..Both Rohidekar and Krishnan are graduates of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Krishnan started his career at IBM and worked there for almost 14 years since 2000..Rohidekar initially worked in Mumbai with Malvi Ranchodd Das & Company for two years, after which he moved to Bangalore and joined Kochhar & Co. He worked at Kochhar for about three years before joining Infosys (BPO) in 2003 as Head of Legal, where he worked for five years. Thereafter he moved to a start-up company Obopay Mobile Technology India for about two years. He returned to Infosys in July 2012 as VP and Deputy Head of Legal..Rohidekar returned to Infosys around the same time when Infosys legal head Samuel Mani and other senior legal counsels Utham Chengappa and Neil Mathur were leaving Infosys to start their own firm, Mani Chengappa & Mathur (MCM)..Earlier this year, Infosys also saw the exit of its Legal head Nithya Nandan Radhakrishnan, who later set up Brown Tree Consulting. Recently, Infosys has also appointed David D. Kennedy as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the company with effect from November 1, 2014.
