Ten years after the Supreme Court cancelled 122 telecom licenses in the famous 2G spectrum judgment, the Central government has now moved the apex court seeking permission for administrative allocation of spectrum in cases which involve public interest or where economic or technical grounds are involved [Centre for Public Interest Litigation and ors vs Union of India].
